ULT

So much of digital based content can be modified for accessibility screen readers, but visual content, like images, rely on the an HTML attributes manually entered as ‘Alternative Text’ in order for screen readers to work. Videos, however, have no such function: the audio is easily accessed by those with visual impairments, but the visual action of the video is lost.

 

ULT is a video content media hub that provides a unique service for users with visual impairments. Visually abled users in the community can transcribe the action of a video to text and upload to the application, allowing users with visual impairments to consume the media. 

 

ULT is designed with a grayscale color palette and with ability to modify the visual format. The focus of the user interaction design is to expedite functionality and ease of use, allowing users the most direct experience to consume media.
