Creative Commons Salon Detroit is a prospective project. The prompt was to utilize the existing brand of a non-profit organization to promote and publicize an event in a digital platform. The study of building materials was rewarding, almost as though completing a puzzle, wherein the pieces do not yet exist. Deliverables included materials that would only been seen in digital spaces (emails and website banners). This event is a gathering of local artists and creatives to socialize, network, and build assets under Creative Commons licensing. It’s a community working to support others while exercising artistic and design skills. The branding for the event needed to be energetic, colorful, and contemporary: something would catch the eye of a creative thinker.
